Star Wars: Squadrons will be compatible with joystick on PC

The galactic saga returns to consoles and PC from the hand of EA Motive, which will allow us to put ourselves at the controls of the ships.

Flying through the sky and the galaxy is within the reach of very few, but Star Wars: Squadrons will invite us to dream of the stars … and of the battles of ships in space. The new production of EA Motive, the studio that developed the Star Wars Balttlefront 2 campaign, has been officially announced and will be shown in more detail on June 18, during the EA Play event. Before that happens, new information has already been confirmed. And it is that the title will be compatible with the joystick on PC (minimum and recommended requirements).

This has been confirmed by Ian S. Frazier, director of Star Wars: Squadrons. After a user asked about the various control settings, the creative consulted with the relevant department to see whether or not he could discuss that particular aspect. Fortunately, they have given him free rein to clarify the issue. He says on Twitter: โ€œWell, I have checked again and apparently I am authorized to respond to you without being hit by the PR. Yes, the game will have full joystick support on PC, including HOTAS with an accelerator. โ€ HOTAS reproduces the controls of real planes in video games.

No microtransactions

Star Wars: Squadrons is a special 5v5 combat game that also incorporates a single player campaign, although it will not be detailed how it will be at the moment. In any case, the game is set after Return of the Jedi, with the New Republic already establishing its hegemony. The Galactic Empire has fallen, which is not the end of the power structure that has ruled for decades. Their old glories still continue in the fight, reason why the combats will follow one another with the objective of conquering the galaxy again. Electronic Arts has also confirmed that personalization items will not work with micropayments.

The new EA Motive game will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from October 2 and at a reduced price.
