Demon's Souls Remake on PS5 is seen in a new image

Hidetaka Miyazaki’s original work returns from the hand of Bluepoint Games, whose new image leaves us with another perspective of the Tower Knight.

PlayStation publishes a new image of Demon’s Souls Remake, the return of the From Software myth from the hands of Bluepoint Games. The changes in the visual direction and the power offered by the new generation allow us to see a Boletaria like we have never seen before.

The image, accompanying the PS5 first party title grid, shows the striking difference in size between our character and the Tower Knight, the first major barrier players encounter in Demon’s Souls. The visual change not only remains in the graphic, but also in the artistic. We found a knight with larger and heavier pieces of armor, with his charismatic shield full of details.

The surrounding fortress, vital to defeat him, shows more complexity than in 2009. Nature has made its way into the old Boletaria castles; the grass blends with the marble throughout its architecture. Where will the crossbowmen who accompany him be? So far it is a mystery.

Comparison between PS3 and PS5

Channels like GameXplain or ElAnalistadeBits have faced the two versions of the game in the same sequences of what the current Demon’s Souls Remake material has produced. The main change is the color palette. The original’s brown filter gives way to a much cleaner and more varied color palette. The improvements in lighting allow the geometry to gain presence, that our knight be part of the ecosystem through the reflections of the armor.

Without a confirmed release date, the title will make use of Ray Tracing, the improvements in audio and SSD memory, three of the great strengths that PlayStation 5 will have. What we do know is that it will have two performance modes, one centered in graphic fidelity and another in the rate of images per second. Details remain unknown.
