Red Dead Online – New showdown cards available

For ‘Red Dead Online’ there is a smaller update with new showdown cards from today, as Rockstar announces.

Overall, you can look forward to four new environments, including Overrun, Spoils of War, Plunder and Up in Smoke. On each map, you only start armed with a handful of throwing knives and can find shotguns to give you a lethal edge. Two more cards will follow in the next few weeks.

Overview

Double rewards for all showdowns as well as rewards for the daily challenge series and more

Make sure your senses and knives are sharpened this week: Red Dead Online offers four new cards for the showdown series. On each you start armed only with a handful of throwing knives. Find the shotguns on the map to give yourself a lethal edge. Take part in this week’s showdown series – or any showdown mode – to earn double XP by April 13th.

OVERRUN: Pike’s Basin

A good, old territorial fight in the dust-dry area around Pike’s Basin. The rules are simple: occupy and hold most areas to win. The survival and maintaining the area are the most difficult part.

PLUNDER: Stillwater Creek

Secure unused prey in the long grass and the murky waters around Stillwater Creek. Bring them back to your base to defeat your rivals.

SPOILS OF WAR: Roanoke Valley

A deadly game of conquest is taking place just north of the mine in Annesburg in the large state of New Hanover. Protect your supplies from enemies and steal theirs at the same time. The team that gets the most supplies wins.

UP IN SMOKE: Kamassa River

The calm waters of the winding Kamassa River serve as the backdrop for this frenetic and explosive mode. All players receive a package at the beginning. The goal is to bring this package to the enemy camp without being killed first. The team that ended up delivering all or most of the packages finally destroys the enemy base.

You will earn double XP in any showdown mode until April 13th.
