Borderlands Science – New mini-game helps with medical research

Playfront

Gearbox contributes to medical research and has released a new mini-game in ‘Borderlands 3’.

In Borderlands Sciense you have to solve your simple block puzzles based on DNA strands. This helps to assign and compare the microbes it contains. Solving these puzzles also includes game currency that you spend on unique Chamber Hunter heads and skins, as well as time-limited boosters that increase your stats, improve loot quality, or even increase experience.

“Borderlands science exists in part because computers are not perfect at organizing this data and making many small mistakes that can interfere with the Reviews below, but the game you play to solve this complex task is simple to understand and play. Colored boxes that represent different nucleotides appear on a grid, and you have to try to line them up by moving them in their columns. It is not always possible to arrange all the fields correctly, but trying to solve these puzzles is still helpful because it helps you identify mistakes in real-world computer Reviews. ”

If you are interested in the practical benefits of the raw data in the end, there is an example: The human intestine is connected to numerous diseases and complaints, including diabetes, depression, autism, anxiety, obesity and more. By mapping these microbes, the scientists hope to better understand these ecosystems, which may lead to future research into new treatment methods and interventions. Further information is available from the Microsetta Initiative. You can find out more about these methods at dnapuzzles.org.

Borderlands Science is now available in Borderlands 3.
