Square Enix has released detailed information about the characters today, a few days before the release of 'Romancing SaGa 3'. In addition to the eight heroes of Romancing SaGa 3, players can look forward to meeting many other characters throughout the story, some of which can be recruited by the players.
All characters were designed by Tomomi Kobayashi, including:
Minstrel – Herald of the Matriarch
A minstrel traveling the world. He visits local taverns to spread the legend of the matriarch and gives advice to the protagonist. He is surprisingly a real joker. If the player adds the minstrel to his group, he can not ask him to leave it until a certain point in the game has been reached.
Tatyana – vagabond
A girl wandering around in different cities of the world. She follows the protagonist and the group whenever she becomes aware of them. She is a lady with a secret identity, who presents herself with a different name at each meeting with the protagonist.
Undine – water mage
An exceptionally talented mage who rules the northern half of the city of Mahzoz. She is well-versed in hydrology and conducts research in the field of combo magic performed by a large group. Players can gain Undine as allies by ending the power struggle in the city of Mahzoz.
Boston lobster
A lobster-folk warrior living at the end of the world. Despite his powerful appearance, he is very nimble. The lobsters are the only people to know the whereabouts of Forneus, one of the Sinistrals.
Robin and Pseudo-Robin – Masked Crusader
Robin is a mysterious, masked man who appears in the port city of Yarmouth. He tries to prevent the trafficking of traders. He enjoys great popularity with the ladies of the city. Pseudo-Robin is a mysterious, masked man who shows up when the real Robin does not have time for some reason. Despite his figure he is fast.
Leonid – Vampire Count
A vampire count who rules Podorui. He has lived for over 500 years and knows the Archfiend and the Matriarch personally. He values the Holy Grail, which once contained the Matriarch's blood, and follows the person who owns it. Mikhail trusts Leonid, as they are old acquaintances. Leonid drinks only the blood of young, beautiful ladies.
Romancing SaGa 3 will be released on November 11, 2019.
