The 5 Lives Studios have announced their new survival adventure ‘Windbound’ for next August, which should convince above all with its impressive natural surroundings.
Windbound is set in a forgotten archipelago where an ancient civilization once lived. The heroine Kara was separated from the rest of her fleet by a mysterious storm and stranded in that deserted place, where it is now a question of survival and finding a way back to her tribe.
“The players will learn more about the history of this ancient civilization, their relationship with the sea and the mysterious sea monsters that continue to mischief under the waves of the ocean as they travel. Even if the focus is initially on survival, this world is rich in materials that can be used to make objects that make the journey easier. ”
First and foremost, it’s your job to build new ships that can withstand the rough seas. Later you will travel to different and unique islands, encounter different environments and countless animal and plant species. The Die 5 Lives Studios promise that no adventure will be the same as the island groups are generated procedurally each time.
In every type of landscape there are different raw materials, a different flora and fauna, but also previously unknown beasts. To really move forward, players need to make weapons and come up with new strategies to stop the threats to nature. This is the only way to find a way home.
Windbound will be released on August 28, 2020.
