Death Stranding will have documentary in Spain: all the details

Hideo Kojima: beyond video games, it is a production of AXN that will be released on the day of the launch of the video game.

A few hours after Death Stranding stars in its expected debut, and now that we know the exact time at which the digital copies will be unlocked, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima productions have announced Hideo Kojima: beyond the video game, a documentary that produces AXN and which will be released next Friday, November 8 at 11:30 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). It will do so on the AXN channel itself, as revealed by PlayStation EspaƱa in a press release.

The documentary is scripted by journalist Nacho Requena, also a contributor to FreeGameTips, who has written The Legacy of Big Boss (Dolmen Editorial), a book dedicated to the Metal Gear saga. Requena has studied in depth the career of Hideo Kojima, as well as all his productions.

In the documentary, the figure of Hideo Kojima will be deepened, his work will be reviewed and the characteristics of his creations and works will be explored. To analyze all this data in detail, the production has brought together different people from the audiovisual world, including scriptwriters, journalists and film directors, as well as fans. Among the figures that have been revealed are Nacho Vigalondo or screenwriter Pablo Lara Toledo.

The ties that bind us

Death Stranding tells a story that revolves around connections. The protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges is a delivery man, but on his shoulders rests an enormous responsibility. And it must unite a broken United States, in which society has succumbed to misfortune. According to Kojima himself, this basic concept was also used to articulate Kojima Productions. After his departure from Konami, the creative was forced to establish new ties to launch his project.

Death Stranding will go on sale on November 8 on PS4 and in early summer 2020 on PC.
