Cyberpunk 2077 shows one of Night City's oldest districts

The new CD Projekt RED project takes us on a tourist visit to another area of this great city, the Santo Domingo area.

Night City is the city of dreams or nightmares, depending on how you look at it. Its huge skyscrapers are yet another example of how appearances deceive, since Cyberpunk 2077 is a dystopia in which citizens live immersed without realizing it. Control of large corporations, one of the main themes of this science fiction genre, is present in the new CD video game Projekt RED. The Polish studio has been presenting the different parts of the city through social networks for a few weeks, and now it is the turn of the Santo Domingo district.

Santo Domingo is one of the oldest districts in Nighty City. Corporations used to use it as a testing ground for their industrial projects, so they destroyed old factories to build new ones, while residents concentrated in crowded mega-buildings, looking for something better, ”the tweet read.

November 19 in the present generation

Cyberpunk 2077 will go on sale on November 19, at least in its versions of PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Anyway, a preliminary version destined for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be ready when the new consoles are commercialized. All in all, the truly next gen update will be complete sometime in 2021. The developer has reported that those who purchase the game on current Sony or Microsoft systems will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free.

The game won’t hit Google Stadia at the same time, and the date is still unknown. On the other hand, CD Projekt RED has made it clear that it has no plans to offer the video game on the Xbox Game Pass service. His previous work, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, if available to all subscribers to the service. Of course, only the base game. The two major expansions are not part of the catalog.
