Cuphead will be updated for free on Xbox with numerous extras

The action-platformer title from Studio MDHR came out by surprise on PlayStation 4, though it’s also available on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

If sealing a deal with the devil is not a big enough mess, getting through such a situation is even more complicated. This is reflected in the gameplay of Cuphead, Studio MDHR’s award-winning title. This action and platform game is hidden under beautiful two-dimensional graphics that imitate the animation of the 30s, but it is a very difficult title to complete. Taking advantage of the announcement and launch of the PlayStation 4 version, the developers have confirmed a free update for Xbox.

Jared Moldenhauer, co-creator of Cuphead, announced it during the Summer Game Fest digital event, hosted by media journalist and showman Geoff Keighley: “To honor the wonderful players who believed in us from the beginning, we are going to make another announcement,” he said. the developer right after revealing the game would be out on PlayStation 4. “We plan to release a special update for Xbox Cuphead fans, which will add a digital art gallery, behind-the-scenes commentary and a playable title soundtrack.” he pointed out.

However, the patch will not arrive immediately. “This update is in an initial planning state, so we will take our time to get it right.” Moldenhauer promised that they will give more details when they reach the level of quality that they contemplate for the product.

Leaked early on PlayStation Store

Digital stores have become big filters, and Studio MDHR’s game has been no exception. Within hours of its official announcement, the title appeared on the UK PlayStation Store. Shortly after it disappeared, but the information had already appeared both on the Internet forums and in the different international media. What was not known is when it would be available, so at least they were able to keep that surprise.

Cuphead is now playable on PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Store. The title originally came out on Xbox One and PC, although it was later adapted to Nintendo Switch as well.
