Rumor: Superman's game has been tried several times to develop, but unsuccessfully

Therefore, once the industry insider James Sigfield has commented on the fact that Warner Bros. since 2013 trying to make a Superman game as an open-world concept on the legs. The idea lies in a huge game world and the city of Metropolis, where the Man of Steel can explore the city and meet various villains to deny epic battles there.

According to Sigfield, the first game was discontinued in the early prototype phase, while in 2014 a new start under the name, Superman: Unbound 'was made. The scene was Kandor this time, a city of krypton that Brainiac shrunk and bottled before destroying the planet.

The concept was less than Open World designed to limit Superman's powers. There is also talk of villains like Brainiac and Doomsday, who should perform here. Also, the project was probably discontinued again, as it was said by Warner Bros. the instruction to realize all projects with the Arkham engine. This would not have worked with Superman and his powers.

Since then, there are always ambitions, but still implement a Superman game, but it is unclear whether even one of them has ever received the green light.

It is also unclear how far the allegations actually apply. Recently, it was suspected that Rocksteady is working on a Superman game, which has since been denied by the developer.
