Capcom claims no plans to release Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on PC. They focus on the next-gen versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Capcom claims that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will not be coming to PC. According to the Japanese company, the new edition of the 2019 hit has been designed solely to take advantage of the hardware capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

“Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is being developed and optimized specifically to take advantage of the architecture and the leap in processing power offered on PS5 and Xbox Series X, so we are focusing on those platforms. At the moment there are no plans to launch it on PC, “a Capcom representative told Eurogamer.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition was revealed as part of the PS5 Showcase on September 16. In the words of Matt Walker, its producer, this edition was created “with two goals in mind.” “Enhancing the award-winning gameplay of DMC5 for a next-gen experience and adding key content that fans have been asking for.”

This is the ray tracing in Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition.

The main graphic novelty is the possibility to enjoy the original adventure with ray tracing. It will have two performance modes when activated, whether you want to prioritize resolution (4K and 30fps target) or images per second (1080p and 60fps target). There is a third option that allows you to push the framerate up to 120 fps through the “High frames per second mode” mode.

In playable matter, Turbo Mode will be added, allowing it to be played at 1.2 times normal speed. We will have the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, which increases the number of enemies on the screen for each encounter. Finally, you can handle Vergil as a playable character. This will come to the PS4 edition as paid DLC.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X starting with their releases on November 19 and 10, respectively.
