League of Legends touches on their champion progression in update 10.20

Riot Games also implements a new code of conduct for players, as well as additional new features.

The veteran Riot Games production is updated as usual, every two weeks. The North American company has published all the news of patch 10.20 of League of Legends, which this time brings “few changes”. Most focus on tweaking the progression of the champions as the game progresses, although they also include a help “to our beloved blue wizard” to do some more damage. At the same time, Karthus suffers a small debuff. On the other hand, when you log in, a new Code of Conduct will be displayed. “This agreement helps us define the behaviors we expect from you as players.

Here are all the patch notes.

The strong and weak dishes

League of Legends, Patch 10.20

Champions

Aatrox

R’s own healing increased at later levels.

Aatrox wants to reach his full potential as an immortal DPS monster, so we are going to help him take advantage of his dark power and not wane towards the middle and end of the game. We hope this demon warrior does not fall in the endgame teamfights.

R – The Annihilator of Worlds

  • SELF HEAL 50/60/70% ⇒ 50/75/100%

Braum

  • Q base damage increased and cost decreased.
  • We’re giving Braum a bit more solo queue action with additional damage and lower mana cost.

Q – Winter’s Bite

  • BASE DAMAGE 60/110/160/210/260 ⇒ 75/125/175/225/275
  • COST 55/60/65/70/75 mana ⇒ 45/50/55/60/65 mana

Illaoi

  • Passive tentacle spawn cooldown reduced.
  • Illaoi has been fighting for the upper lane without much success, so we’re going to give his tentacles more damage, especially after the lane phase. We’re also smoothing his passive progression so that he benefits at every level instead of every other.

Passive – Prophet of an Ancient God

  • TENTACLE APPEARANCE COOLDOWN 20-12 seconds (progresses every 2 levels) ⇒ 20-7.25 seconds (progresses each level)

Karthus

  • Base armor reduced.
  • We’re going to keep tweaking Karthus until he’s in better shape, as he was getting a bit overwhelming all over the map, especially on the lower lane. The goal is to lower your defenses against ADCs.

Basic statistics

  • ARMOR 20.88 ⇒ 18

Kassadin

  • Q shield reduced early in game.
  • High-level and elite Kassadin players often manage too easily to hold out at the beginning of the lane phase and progress with the help of their early defensive tools. Many have started maxing E first, so we’re going to make Kassadin have to invest more to get a safe lane phase.

Q – Negative sphere

  • SHIELD 60/85/110/135/160 ⇒ 40/70/100/130/160.

Katarina

  • Damage ratio reduced when picking up a dagger.
  • Katarina is succeeding in high-level and elite matches, as she is an elusive assassin who excels at moving around the map at the start of the match and creating a snowball effect for her team, so let’s focus in your DA relationships to reduce some of your initial strength.

Passive – Craving

  • DAMAGE RATIO ON RECOVERING A DAGGER 1.0 bonus attack damage ⇒ 0.75 bonus attack damage

Kled

  • Base magic resistance reduced.
  • Kled has been a powerful force on both center lane and top lane at all levels of play, so we want to offer more options for dismantling this yordle from his lizard.

Basic statistics

  • MAGIC RESIST 32.1 ⇒ 28

Lulu

  • W bonus attack speed reduced.
  • Lulu has seen wild growth on the bottom lane, helping the shooters a bit too much. Since it’s both offensive and defensive support, we’re slowing down Banal’s combat progression towards the end of the game.

W – Banal

  • BONUS ATTACK SPEED 25/30/35/40/45% ⇒ 20 / 23.75 / 27.5 / 31.25 / 35%

Maokai

  • Q base damage reduced at later skill levels.
  • We’re going to reduce Maokai’s power a bit so that his top lane mates can dare to head out of the forest.

Q – Oppressive Bush

  • BASE DAMAGE 70/115/160/205/250 ⇒ 70/110/150/190/230

Nunu and Willump

  • Base armor reduced.
  • Nunu is a bit more powerful than he should in skirmishes, especially considering his ability to lay ambushes first and to control targets. We weaken that power a bit so it stops hovering over other jungles so often.

Basic statistics

  • ARMOR 32 ⇒ 29

Ryze

  • Q base damage increased.
  • Since he recently escaped from the Worlds rune prison, we are prepared to put Ryze on top for the preseason.

Q – Electric shock

  • BASE DAMAGE 65/90/115/140/165 ⇒ 75/100/125/150/175

Zion

  • Q damage ratio against monsters increased.
  • Sion could use a little help in the jungle, so let’s upgrade her Q so she can kill two knife picks with a Q + W combo.

Q – Annihilating Impact

  • DAMAGE RATIO VS MONSTERS 1.0 attack damage ⇒ 1.5 attack damage

Urgot

  • Passive damage increased against monsters early in the game. Modified W damage now affects both minions and monsters.
  • The jungle has room for a few more colossi, and Urgot has what it takes to be a viable choice. We’re increasing this hefty’s damage against monsters.

Passive – Flaming Joints

  • DAMAGE VS MONSTERS 60-360 ⇒ 100-360

W – Purge

  • MODIFIED DAMAGE 50 against minions ⇒ 50 against minions and monsters

Varus

  • E base damage increased. R cooldown decreased.
  • After a long period of spreading corruption through the higher levels of play, Varus has lost popularity and once again has room for improvement.

E – Rain of arrows

  • BASE DAMAGE 50/90/130/170/210 ⇒ 60/100/140/180/220

R – Chain of Corruption

  • COOLDOWN 130/100/70 seconds ⇒ 120/90/60 seconds

Runes

Incessant hunter

  • Relentless Hunter performs much better than other runes, especially on Center Lane and in high-level matches. We will reduce its reliability and reduce some of its basic power.
  • BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED OUT OF COMBAT 10 Movement Speed (+9 Movement Speed per Bounty Hunter stack) (up to 55 with 5 stacks) ⇒ 5 Movement Speed (+8 Movement Speed per Bounty Hunter stack) ( up to 45 with 5 stacks).

World Cup 2020 Clash

  • Clash of the 2020 World Cup is here! Fight in a 16-team cadre for even more glorious prizes and a Summoner’s Cup-inspired trophy. Take a look at the Clash tab in the client for specific details and start dates!

  • Illaoi’s W – Harsh Lesson no longer destroys enemy spell shields and now deals full damage to the targeted enemy.
  • The tooltip for Vladimir’s Q – Transfusion has been corrected to include information about his healing reduction against minions.

  • Sylas no longer loses all of his mana after stealing Shyvana’s R – Dragon Ascendancy with his R – Appropriation.

  • Fixed an issue where a skin’s purchased border would not immediately appear in the Collection tab until the client was restarted.
  • Winter Wonder Orianna’s R – Order: Shockwave glow VFX no longer displays above structures.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Kayn’s Odyssey model to expand and shrink when an enemy player highlighted it with the mouse.
  • The sound that plays when Vayne goes into stealth while using the Q – Pirouette during R – End Hour is no longer cut off from the enemy’s perspective.
  • PROJECT: Vayne will now make metallic sounds instead of normal sounds when hit by an enemy.
