The popular youtuber realizes its intention to launch a role-playing video game. It is already available on mobile devices.

Felix 'PewDiePie' Kjellberg, the youtuber with the most subscribers on the planet (102 million followers) has launched his new RPG video game, Pixelings. The title is now available for free (with integrated purchases) on iOS and Android devices.

It is not the first videogame of the Swedish creator. Already in 2015, it launched Legend of Brofist with the Outerminds studio. A year later he did the same with Tuber Simulator. This time he has waited three years, but as he commented in a recent video published on his channel, it is in which he has devoted more efforts in what he calls the Pixelverse universe.

PewDiePie’s Pixelings does not hide its inspirations in creatures and combat collection works such as Dragon Quest Monsters, Digimon or Pokémon, but inheriting design elements from the role PvP of mobile devices. The game has dozens of levels both single player and multiplayer moo, 3v3 fighting in real time where each character has some skills and it is possible to improve our units. As we see, there is a level bar and an energy bar. When we are out of the levels we can strengthen the units (which are of different types), change the equipment or draw up strategies

On an artistic level, PewDiePie’s Pixelings seeks to inspire you in the RPG titles of the 32-bit era, a style designed on the express purpose of the creator, without giving up integrating elements of modern times. As in all free to play, the business model relies on the existence of microtransactions.

The new Outerminds project can already be downloaded from Google Play for Android devices and from the App Store in case of using iPhone or iPad. At the time of publication of this news, the game is already in the second place of the most downloaded role-playing games of the company of the bitten apple, which suggests a possible initial success, at least in downloads, of this proposal.
