PS5: Game performance currently ahead of the Xbox Scarlett, insiders say

Playfront

If you believe current insider information, the PS5 seems to have a good lead over the Xbox Scarlett from Microsoft in terms of game performance. But that does not mean anything at the moment.

So Sony seems so far a little more eager to be in distributing their developer kits, which they could extend this advantage. The hardware and software itself should probably be a bit more advanced in the Japanese.

At the same time, however, it also means that Microsoft can definitely close this gap by also picking up speed and getting more developers on board or participating in the next-gen developments.

In the ResetEra forum you can read:

"Currently the game performance on the PS5 is better. I think that's probably because the PS5 development hardware and software are in an advanced state. I expect Scarlett will close this gap as more sophisticated development kits and software become available. "

Furthermore, it says that at the moment absolutely nothing is decided who will ultimately have the better hardware or software. One even trusts Microsoft that they can also use DirectX to generate the stronger software, even if the hardware is inferior to the PS5.

From the official side, however, it is completely unclear where the hardware and software is currently located. By the time the consoles are launched, there will be another good year anyway.
