Gran Turismo Sport – Mazda RX-Vision GT3 unveiled

In addition to the Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT, Polyphony Digital also provides a first look at the Mazda RX-Vision GT3, which will also be available in 'Gran Turismo Sport' in 2020.

It is based on the 2015 RX vision concept designed by Ikuo Maeda. Already his father, Matasaburo Maeda, is responsible for the design of the original Mazda RX-7.

According to series creator Kazunori Yamauchi, they are currently implementing the model for Gran Turismo Sport, but there are still unanswered questions as to which technology is used under the bonnet. On demand, whether a rotary engine was installed, there was no answer. The original model relied on a next-gen SkyActiv-R rotary unit. This emphasized the ideal 48:52 weight distribution of the engine in the front area.

What the final model will look like is also still open. Striking is already the generous rear and the deep front splitter, which may be revised but again.

Further details on the implementation of the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 are expected in the coming months.
