Resident Evil 3 Remake: details and unpublished footage in its new development diary

Capcom offers new data on the new version of the classic, which returns with a new asymmetric multiplayer mode.

It cannot be said that it was a surprise, since the existence of Resident Evil 3 Remake had already been confirmed, although the official announcement came during the most recent State of Play. However, Capcom has published the first video game development newspaper, in which details have been given and new scenes of the expected remake have been shown. Resident Evil Resistance, until now known as Project Resistance, will finally be integrated into the base game.

During the more than five minutes that the video lasts, the producers of Resident Evil 3 Remake, Peter Fabiano and Masachika Kawata, review several aspects of the video game. The developers have explained that those who play Resident Evil 2 Remake will be familiar with the play style of this reimagined version, as it recovers the same camera style and completely eliminates the old tank control.

The characters wear a new design

The development diary stops at the main characters, Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira. In Capcom they acknowledge being happy with the new aspect of women, whose design has been elaborated taking into account the approach towards the action that this third installment had. As for Carlos, who is similarly changed, Kawata has explained that they wanted the character to feel like a trustworthy person, since he will be one of Jill's supporters in these moments of horror. Nemesis, the antagonist of the original game, returns with a new look, which despite the memes, continues to show its most frightening aspect.

The final part of the video is reserved for Resident Evil Resistance, an asymmetric multiplayer mode that had been previously tested. A group of survivors will have to survive the traps and enemies sent by a master brain, driven by another player.

Resident Evil 3 Remake will be ready next April 3 and will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The collector's version will include a Raccoon City map, a Jill Valentine figure and a special box, among other things.
