Sonic The Movie: discover what official merchandising is like

Paramount Pictures and SEGA work on a whole series of articles related to the film, which will be released on February 14, 2020.

SEGA's porcupine has had a hard time finding his way to the cinema. Despite the speed of which he shows, the character has seen how the premiere of his film was delayed in time, but the wait is over. Sonic The Movie will debut in theaters on February 14, 2020, and will do so accompanied by several official articles that SEGA and Paramount Pictures have just unveiled. It remains to be seen how many of these objects will cross the US border.

Among the planned merchandising we can find clothes, books, a statue, toys, marketing actions for movie theaters (popcorn, for example) and others. The complete list is offered below, although as we anticipated, not all content is intended for all territories. Anyway, the plans for each of the articles have not yet been revealed.

All the announced material of Sonic The Movie

  • Bentex: clothing for young people (spring 2020).
  • Bioworld: clothing for adults.
  • Build-a-Bear Workshop: special plush items and accessories.
  • Diamond Select Toys: very detailed statue that captures an iconic scene (spring 2020).
  • Franco: Sonic bedding (spring 2020).
  • JAKKS Pacific: stuffed animals and toys, available in specific territories (January 2020).
  • Penguin Publishing: variety of children's books (December 2019).
  • Sega Shops: collection of objects enclosed in a capsule (January 2020).
  • Snapco and Ping Solutions: items for the cinema, including glasses for drinks and popcorn buckets. They will be available in some cinemas.
  • Toy Factory and Sega Amusement: products for amusement parks in Europe and the United States.
  • TBM Fashion Lab and Cooneen: clothing for adults and young people destined for the international market (early 2020).

Sonic The Movie was scheduled for November 2018, but the character's design did not like and the studio made the decision to work on a redesign, so the film ended up delayed.
