The Sony INZONE H9 II gaming headset has become the go-to choice for gamers, thanks to its exceptional sound quality and comfort, with the reviewer using it for three months and forgetting they were wearing it during long gaming sessions.
Build Quality and Comfort
The INZONE H9 II features a premium build with soft earpads and a lightweight design, weighing only 260 grams without the detachable microphone, making it one of the lightest gaming headsets on the market.
The headset’s adjustable headbands have a unique button system, but the reviewer found it to be somewhat inconvenient, as the headphones would often slip off their ears while making adjustments.
Sound Quality and Performance
The INZONE H9 II is equipped with 30mm carbon composite drivers, which provide a wide soundstage and excellent audio quality, particularly in FPS games like Valorant and Fortnite, where the reviewer could easily pinpoint enemy locations and track their movements.
The default sound profile is geared towards FPS titles, with a focus on elevating highs and reducing lows, allowing for a more immersive gaming experience.
Microphone and ANC Performance
The detachable cardioid boom mic is one of the best the reviewer has used, with clear and crisp audio quality, and the ANC feature is also impressive, providing excellent noise cancellation and a convenient button to switch between modes.
The reviewer tested the mic in various scenarios, including gaming and work meetings, and found it to be highly effective in filtering out background noise.
Battery Life and Verdict
The INZONE H9 II’s battery life is around 30 hours with ANC off, which is somewhat disappointing compared to other gaming headsets on the market, but the fast charging feature helps to mitigate this issue.
Overall, the Sony INZONE H9 II is a premium gaming headset that excels in comfort, sound quality, and microphone performance, making it a great choice for gamers who value these features, despite its somewhat limited battery life.
With its exceptional performance and features, the INZONE H9 II has earned a permanent spot on the reviewer’s desk, and its ability to “disappear” during long gaming sessions makes it a top choice for gamers who want a high-quality, comfortable headset.
