Netflix will premiere on December 20 its series based on The Witcher, the work of Andrzej Sapkowski, the author of the homonymous novels. The Witcher of Netflix will debut with a first season of eight episodes. The saga will continue throughout a second season, although the showrunner, Lauren S. Hissrich, has stated that she has planned about seven seasons for the future. As for video games, CD Projekt RED has dropped the possibility of continuing with the franchise.
