Lightning struck within eight miles of EchoPark Speedway, forcing NASCAR to red‑flag the race midway through Stage 2 and placing all 38 cars on pit road.
Race Standings After the Stoppage
Ryan Blaney held the green flag lead with Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott running second to fifth as the track paused. The remaining top ten featured Erik Jones, Kyle Larson, Carson Hocevar, Joey Logano and Ty Gibbs.
Free Pass and Lap Status
The caution awarded Ross Chastain a free pass, re‑establishing him on the lead lap. Zane Smith, Brad Keselowski and Todd Gilliland sat one lap down; Noah Gragson, Cody Ware and Chad Finchum lag two laps; and BJ McLeod trailed three laps behind the leaders.
Stage Points Earned
Blaney claimed Stage 1 victory, pocketing an extra ten points. Reddick, Larson, Logano, Cindric, Hocevar, A. Dillon, Briscoe, Elliott and Wallace also secured points for the first stage.
Restart and Pit Strategy
When replaying, every driver will pit for fuel and tires, since most made it near the end of the stint before the yellow flew.
With the field reset and the race still below the 131‑lap threshold, the next lap will determine whether the 2024 event solidifies into championship points.
