Cyberpunk 2077: Keanu Reeves returns turned into an action figurine

CD Projekt RED and McFarlane Toys sign a three-year agreement to manufacture different videogame toys.

Keanu Reeve took the stage at E3 2019 and captured everything with his breathtaking, a phrase that has gone down in the history of the Los Angeles fair. The North American actor, protagonist of films like The Matrix or the Dracula of Francis Ford Coppola, is part of Cyberpunk 2077, the new video game of CD Projekt RED. The Polish company has announced a three-year deal with McFarlane Toys, which means that Keanu Reeves's character, Johnny Silverhand, will have at least one new action figure.

The developer has shared two images of the figures, which show the actor with two different poses: in the first one, we see him rockin 'with an electric guitar, while in the second he appears with the heavy metal horns raised. In addition, McFarlane Toys also prepares a figure of V, protagonist of the game, although for the moment, only in its male version. All of them will cost $ 24.99 (about 22 euros to change). You can see the three images below.

More demanding than The Witcher 3 on a technological level

CD Projekt RED is blunt: they had to change the graphic engine in order to realize their ambitions regarding Cyberpunk 2077. This science fiction game required not only a change of perspective (The Witcher 3 was developed in the third person, while the new production works first).

Richard Borzymowski commented the following: "In the first place, we would not have been able to develop Cyberpunk 2077 with the same engine as The Witcher," he said in an interview with MCV UK. "The benefits of the new engine are that we have been able to develop Ciberpunk 2077 with a first-person perspective", but without neglecting "all the verticality of the different buildings and skyscrapers" of Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 is in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. If nothing changes, its launch will take place on April 16, 2020. The Poles, who have recently renewed their agreement with Andrzej Sapkowski, author of The Witcher, have not yet confirmed whether the game will have a new generation version.
