Assassin's Creed Ragnarok game allegedly appears at a well-known retailer

This year you can expect a new Assassin’s Creed game, which is rumored to play in Nordic mythology and is called “Assassin's Creed Ragnarok”.

This is currently indicated by an entry in the Italian GameStop Store, which has since been deleted. There was apparently a short Mjolnir Edition for Xbox One listed, of which a screenshot on Reddit does the rounds. However, this could also be created in a few minutes using Photoshop, which is why doubts are justified.

There were no further details about the game or the content of the edition, which is why it is currently not possible to verify the authenticity.

Nevertheless, the new Assassin’s Creed, whatever its name may be, is still expected to be released this year, probably even as a cross-gen title. You could also find references to the setting in games like The Division or in the animus itself.

If these actually apply, an announcement is expected towards the middle of the year.
