CD Projekt says the Cyberpunk 2077 delay "will be worth it"

The Polish studio calls fans to calm down, stating that the delay of a few months of Cyberpunk 2077 is nothing but the good of the game itself.

The recent delay of Cyberpunk 2077 only confirms that the development of a game of this size is not at all simple, and from CD Projekt they have assured that despite this, the work will be arduous in the coming months. However, since the Polish study they have wanted to reassure all those who looked forward to this game, not one of the most anticipated of this 2020, but probably of the whole generation, promising that the wait will be worth it.

It has been a week where we have seen a good handful of delayed games: from Final Fantasy VII Remake to Marvel's Avengers, through Iron Man VR. Cyberpunk 2077 has not been saved from burning, and will not arrive until September, when its original release was scheduled for this April.

"Hey, we are disappointed, but it will be worth it in the end," said Miles Tost, CD Projekt level designer on Twitter. "Thank you for your continued support."

In the same line is Ɓukasz Babiel, head of quality of the study, promising that "we will achieve it, do not worry". It is to understand the reaction of the members of CD Projekt, since we talk about a game that has been in development for years and there are thousands of players looking forward to it, being the new work of the creators of one of the great RPGs of recent years as It's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

They will put hours on piecework

As we said, the one that is going to be delayed does not mean that in CD Projekt they will avoid the crunch, that is to say, the long working hours in order to finish it on time and with the desired quality. "We try to be reasonable in this regard, but unfortunately there will be crunch," said Adam Kicinski, one of the visible heads of the study.
