Ark Genesis release confirmed in February

Wildcard has finally confirmed the release date of the new expansion of their survival MMO ‘Ark Genesis’, which will now be released in February. In addition to a brand new story, new gameplay mechanics, new biomes, creatures and more await you.

This is a little behind schedule, but there are also good reasons why and why, as explained in a statement:

“This additional delay will undoubtedly be a disappointment for anyone eagerly awaiting Genesis. We are very sorry that we have postponed it for another month. The team was busy polishing and putting together the final pieces that we feel will be worth the extra wait for both the quality of the base game as well as the ambitious new expansion. ”

The Live Ops team used the schedule change to make sure you had a really fun Valentine's Day event in store for you (something you originally wanted to skip as it almost coincided with the launch of the new expansion). In addition, a first anti-meshing patch has just been provided, and further adjustments to the anti-meshing logic will follow shortly, which basically deal with this long-standing problem.

Until then, we look forward to hopefully a successful and cross-platform launch of Genesis. All of this will greatly improve ARK for everyone playing PvP and PvE.

Ark Genesis starts on February 25, 2020.
