February 5, 2020 has been one of the hottest candidates for the PS5 Reveal Event so far, but the chances of it decreasing day by day. In the meantime, people no longer believe that this date is still realistic.
If you look over the video game landscape, it is currently suspiciously quiet about the PS5 event, because even today no predictions about the invitations have been made. If Sony has actually already sent this, one or the other should chat about it .. but you don't. In this respect, it is very unlikely that the event will take place on February 5th.
An event like this takes time
Other magazines also point out that such an event requires a certain preparation time and in this case you should have heard about it long ago. The invited journalists will hardly be able to travel to such an event overnight.
Other dates that are expected for the PS5 Reveal Event are February 12 or towards the end of the coming month. So far, however, this has more to do with guesswork than with knowledge. Why February is seen as a potential month in which the PS5 will be unveiled can only be traced back to the PS4 schedule back then, which worked very well for Sony.
Ultimately, it's not just about revealing the console at a specific date, in the background there are many other factors that may play a role, for example which publishers are on board, where exactly is the development of the PS5, what would you like show etc.
So it only remains to be seen until Sony finally makes an official statement.
