As early as 2017, Ubisoft had announced a game based on the Avatar franchise, which is being developed by the makers of The Division at Ubisoft Massive. In the meantime, however, it has become so quiet about the project that one justifiably asks oneself whether it even appears at all.
Avatar is based on Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine, which, according to the publisher, enables the creation of ultra-realistic gaming universes, featuring dynamic global illumination, stunning real-time destruction and incredible levels of detail and visual effects.
Not much is known about the game itself except that it aims to bring the avatar universe in line with the movies in an exciting and innovative way. It was said at least exactly a year ago. But what became of it now?
Yep!

On request to license holder 20th Century Fox is currently confirmed only that the game is still in work, but will not be released soon. Currently, the work on the liveaction film is in full swing, as well as a mobile game, which will be discussed next year. So it will probably take a while until Ubisoft's turn is over.
