Death Stranding will use Denuvo on PC, the controversial anti-piracy system

The Steam page of the video game confirms that the new Kojima Productions will come with built-in DRM protection.

The Denuvo anti-piracy system will accompany Death Stranding on PC. This has been noted on the official page of the title on Steam. The most recent production of Hideo Kojima will use this protection system to try to prevent the product from navigating through illegal channels, although this technology has a very bad reputation among players, as it is accused of causing performance problems in video games. Not surprisingly, many companies decide to withdraw it when they produce time or eventually it is cracked.

The Kojima Producctions work was funded by Sony Interactive Entertainment and was assisted by Guerrilla Games, creators of Horizon Zero Dawn and the Decima engine, but it is not an exclusive PlayStation 4 game. Shortly after launch, the Japanese developer announced that He had partnered with 505 Games to edit his compatible title. From the beginning they announced that it would leave at the beginning of summer, but the final date was recently confirmed: June 2.

What's new in the PC version?

In addition to the expected photo mode, the creative team led by Hideo Kojima has confirmed a crossover with Half-Life, on the occasion of the publication of Alyx, the title for virtual reality devices. Those who reserve the game will have available a series of extra objects such as golden armor or new sunglasses. As if that weren't enough, a physical format version with a metal box will also be distributed.

In Death Stranding we follow the story of Sam Porter Bridges, a man who lives in a United States that slows down extinction when beings from beyond the earth appear around the world. Sam must travel through the different territories, deliver goods and unite the country under the same umbrella. However, he will not have it easy, because the enemies will be around and death will lurk at every step.
