Alex Evans, of Media Molecule, says there are big plans for Dreams' post-launch content, including virtual reality.
Now that the most ambitious Media Molecule project is in the market in its final version – it has been in early access for months – and players are already beginning to share their best creations, Dreams will only grow. It will do so with updates, according to the British study itself, he said, and some of them will be of considerable importance, such as the one that will implement compatibility with virtual reality, which is "practically done", as they have confirmed.
About the future content of Dreams
Alex Evans, a member of Media Molecule, has been in charge of touching the subject, and although he has not been able to give a specific date, he has certainly said that it is the “most made of how many are in the kitchen” content in terms of post content launching.
"Virtual reality is in fact almost over, to be honest," Evans explains. “I would love to have multiplayer, but we have no date and it is not done by far, but it is something that really interests me because I designed the code for multiplayer from the beginning, so I trust that it arrives, I just can't say when . We are a videogame studio, not tools, so I think (players) want good content. So I think we're going to make more games in Dreams, 100% guaranteed. ”
Evans adds that Dreams will have "juicy and free updates," but they are still unsure how they will be implemented and in what amount. "I don't know how we're going to package them, but what we're going to do is work on several things in parallel," he says. “And then we will release them how and when we can. I imagine we also have paid content, maybe if we have Kojima´s Dreams, you know? Kojima, if you are reading this, do it. ”
Dreams is now available on PlayStation 4 at the price of 39'99 euros, Media Molecule assured that the most logical thing would be that it was also launched in the future generation of Sony, PlayStation 5.
