The Codemasters driving title talks about the version of the new Google platform, where they have managed to do exclusive things.
Google Stadia will be the only platform where GRID can offer a game mode with up to 40 cars on screen simultaneously. The new platform of the Mountain View company, which will arrive on November 19 with a dozen games, will also feature this work by Codemasters in the future.
Its development director, Mark Greeen, commented in a meeting with WccTech the expectations he has with what is intended as a new way of understanding gaming platforms without the need for hardware, such as Stadia.
“Developing in new hardware is always both exciting and interesting. Perhaps where a major difference is found is in streaming, but also Stadia's ability to communicate with another Stadia so quickly transforms some ideas around the multiplayer; for example, to develop a totally new game mode for GRID Stadia where there are 40 cars on the track at the same time, something that is not possible on other platforms, ”he says.
In our Reviews of the game this past October we conclude by saying that “The handling of the vehicles is benevolent with the player although with certain simulation touches that can confuse us when it comes to driving them. Technically one of lime and another of sand; overall result satisfactory but not up to the current hardware ”. We will see what improvements are applied soon in Stadia.
Google Stadia arrives next November 19 at a price of 9.99 euros per month under Stadia Pro subscription, with the possibility of enjoying its titles at 4K and HDR if we have a connection for optimal performance of 35 Mbps. In its catalog we will find twelve games, where are Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Mortal Kombat 11, Red Dead Redemption 2 or Shadow of the Tomb Raider, among others.
