Square Enix details the characteristics and prices that internal micropayments will present to obtain skins and other cosmetics in Marvel’s Avengers.
There is less than a week left until Marvel’s Avengers lands on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia and every day we learn more about what is new from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics. On this occasion, from the official website of the company they have wanted to explain how the internal micro-payments system that the game will have will work, since despite the fact that they will offer some heroes for free, there will be certain cosmetic elements such as skins that will make us pass per box and spend real money. We will tell you about it in detail below, in addition to remembering that on the game’s launch day we will have to download an 18 GB patch.
This will be the internal micro-payment system of Marvel’s Avengers
As specified from Square Enix on its official website, beyond all the content that we can earn by playing or buying with game points in the so-called “Sale Units”, Marvel’s Avengers also has a Market in which we can open our wallet and seize a few euros or dollars from our pocket:
“The market exists outside of the narrative of the game and can be accessed through the main menu or cosmetics. It is a place for us to present cosmetics that can be purchased in the form of outfits, gestures, takedowns, and dog tags. Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary items from the Market rotate weekly and can be purchased with credits. “
Credits are the in-game currency that can be purchased with real money to spend in the Market for cosmetic items. Specifically, a package of 500 credits costs $ 5.00 ($ 5, which could be translated directly into € 5 or € 4.20). These credits come in packages of 500, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000 and bonus credits are added if we purchase larger packages. The price of each pack would be like this:
- 500 credits for $ 5 / about € 4.20
- 2,000 credits for $ 20 / about € 16.80
- 5,000 credits for $ 50 / about € 41.99
- 10,000 credits for $ 100 / about € 83.99
Therefore, if we want to get skins and other cosmetic items of “epic” quality we will have to pay a considerable sum of money. Each player will be able to decide whether to do it or not, since these internal purchases are not mandatory as they are not related to the progression in the story.
