Resident Evil fans connect Coronavirus & Racoon City

An aggressive pandemic is currently raging in China, where a dangerous lung disease is spreading by a corona virus. Millions of people are currently in quarantine and cases have only been reported here in Europe.

While the authorities are trying to control the outbreak as much as possible, more and more theories are emerging on the Internet, some of which have their origins in well-known video games. Resident Evil fans, among others, believe that the name 'Corona' is an anagram for 'Racoon City'. The name corona virus has been around for a long time.

As if that weren't enough, a biological laboratory called Shanghai Ruilan Bao Hu San Biotech Limited near Wuhan / China was found, in the area of which the virus probably first appeared. Amazingly, the laboratory even uses a logo that is amazingly similar to that of Resident Evil's Umbrella Corporation. Only the color scheme is different here.

At this point, one now suspects a completely unproven complete, according to which the corona virus was intentionally released, similar to that in Resident Evil, for example to decimate humanity. But even if the virus, against which there is currently no vaccine, can actually cause many deaths, these speculations are completely baseless and certainly not proven.

Theories that there should be a patent for the virus have also already been invalidated because they do not refer to the individual virus, but to weakened variants of those that were developed as a vaccine against it.

As dramatic as it all sounds at first, and some Resident Evil fans may also secretly wish for it, a scenario like in the game is not, and certainly not planned as such. For wild theories, it is always enough, even if one should not underestimate the seriousness.
