Hardly a day goes by without new rumors about the PS5 emerging, which will probably not change until Sony finally presents its new console. Meanwhile, a new screenshot (via Reddit) is making the round, which may show a look at the interface (UI) of the PS5 DevKits.
In any case, it was to be expected that this would sooner or later come online. It also seems plausible that this will neither be representative of the final design, nor that Sony will make major changes to the current PS4 UI, which is supposed to just work for the time being.
However, the screenshot shows some differences, which is a somewhat simplified UI compared to the PS4, as well as the typical DevKit system data in the top left corner. Also 1TB SSDs are probably used, as well as a firmware version, which of course is before the launch version.
The Decima Engine logo can also be found among the installed apps, as can the system menu and the PSN Info app. Which game is behind the Decima logo can also only be speculated – Death Stranding (PS5), Horizon Zero 2?
As usual, there is currently no confirmation that this screenshot is really real, especially since it is generally not intended for the public. Official information on the PS5 from Sony is expected in February at the earliest, until then this is classified as a rumor.
