Sabotage Studios exceeds its goal to materialize the prequel to The Messenger in less than seven hours. New goals have been added to your Kickstarter.

Sea of ​​Stars meets its funding goal in less than seven hours. The prequel to The Messenger thus sees the foundations that will lead to its development fulfilled. Through a statement, Sabotage Studio showed the happiness of having seen the reaction of its community materialized.

"We were sure of this first goal, so we had prepared a lot of ideas for the next objectives," they assured. From this moment all that is collected will go directly to fatten the offer of the title.

The first post start goal comes from an additional game mode. As the study indicates, "Single Player +" allows a second player to enter and exit the adventure to control the second available hero. Although it is not a cooperative mode to use, when playing with two players, new puzzles that require cooperation will be introduced. At a certain moment we can unlock the "Halls of Cooperation", a bonus dungeon designed to play with a friend. It will arrive at Sea of ​​Stars through an upgrade at no additional cost.

While this second goal has already been funded, a third objective appeared. In this way the kickstarter aims to be able to finance the animated cinematics. If met, all video scenes will be fully animated in 2D by DuCoup Animation, an external company focused on these arts. To do this, they must raise C $ 350,000.

Classic flavor in 2022

Sea of ​​Stars will narrate the events prior to those seen in The Messenger and will be set in the same universe. In it we will see the commitment to the most classic vision of RPG, with turn-based combat and a staging that oozes retro air from all four sides. Up to six characters can be controllable within the group, so the options will be total to adopt the strategy we want.

Sabotage Studio anticipates its arrival on the market in two years. It will be in 2022 when it launches on PC and consoles. With the new generation already established within that time frame, the studio did not want to accurately insure the platforms selected for presentation.
