Sea of Thieves is heading to Steam on PC; date and details confirmed

The Rare video game has more than 10 million players. With its arrival at the Valve store, the community will be able to continue growing.

Rare and Microsoft have confirmed that Sea of Thieves will go on sale through Valve's digital games portal, Steam, this June 6 at a recommended price of 39.99 euros. After passing through the Xbox One family of consoles and via Xbox Game Pass both on console and on PC (Windows 10), the multiplayer pirate title of the English studio lands in one of the most popular stores on the digital scene. And yes, it comes with crossplay.

10 million registered players

In this post, as a question and answer, Steam answers any questions about the arrival and compatibility of the game on PC. Despite its complex beginnings, Sea of Thieves has been polishing and reinventing itself both in amount of content and in game modes, tracing a very particular and idiosyncratic path that has led the work to add more than 10 million registered players. It is one of Microsoft's greatest successes of the current generation. Exploration, cooperation, secrets and tens of hours of gameplay where each game is different in this huge open world where the flag of freedom flies.

There is also a story mode for those who prefer to play solo. Although the game is primarily intended for companion play, its extensive single-player mode – supplemented by the recent Ships of Fortune, a new story released last April – gives us around 40 hours to play.

Meanwhile, Sea of Thieves is still available on Xbox One and Windows 10; also in the a la carte service Xbox Game Pass, where the full version with all the content is. To play online, however, you need Xbox Live GOLD, included in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate mode. The service just received three great games: Alan Wake, Minecraft Dungeon and Cities Skylines.

In the absence of knowing if Sea of Thieves will be on Xbox Series X with an improved version, in this list we review one by one all the confirmed games for the powerful new console from the team of Phil Spencer, which will be released this Christmas.
