Masahiro Sakurai's game welcomes Byleth, from Fire Emblem, as a new DLC fighter; but there are more changes and adjustments implemented in the title.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has received the expected update to version 7.0.0. The exclusive fight title of Nintendo Switch receives this January 29 Byleth, the new character via DLC from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and enables the purchase of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2. However, this version includes more news and changes which we will detail below.
The update, mandatory to continue making use of the online features of the game, incorporates new Mii suits, among which the one based on Cuphead; each with a price lower than one euro.
The team of Masahiro Sakurai has taken advantage of the arrival of this patch to improve the balance of the game through small adjustments, such as an increase in the distance of the releases of characters like Samus; Donkey Kong, Pichu, Pikachu and Link Boy, meanwhile, now have a larger shield power. The swing is for several dozen fighters.
What does the Applicant 5: Byleth Pack include?
At a price of 5.99 euros separately (same price as the other four individual applicants' Pack), Byleth, from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, joins the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate squad next to the relics, including the Sword of Creation. The set also includes the new scenario: Garreg Mach monastery, a route for Byleth in "Smash arcade", an additional spirit board and 11 musical themes from the Fire Emblem series. Buying the five characters (Fighters Pass Vol. 1) costs € 24.99 and includes Banjo, Joker, Dragon Quest Hero, Terry Bogard and Byleth.
The Fighters Pass Vol. 2 will give access to six packs of applicants gradually from this moment until December 31, 2021. Each pack of the applicant includes a fighter, a stage and several musical tracks.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch in physical and digital format. The game has already sold more than 15.7 million units, the best-selling fighting title in history.
