Tell Me Why: play Episode 1 for free and get the game for less than 10 euros on PC

The Dontnod Entertainment video game tells the story of two brothers who face the events of their past.

The creators of Life is Strange, Dontnod Entertainment, released two video games in 2020, Tell Me Why and Twin Mirror. The first of them is available for sale on Steam. Until March 12, players will be able to purchase the full title for 8.39 euros on the Valve platform (9.99 on the Microsoft Store), when it normally costs 16.79 euros. The Xbox Game Studios production, which was released in an episodic format, now allows all players to try the first episode for free.

  • Tell Me Why on Steam

Tell Me Why follows the story of two brothers, Alyson and Tyler. They both lived their childhood in a small town in Alaska, Delos Crossing. However, their lives were marked by the death of their mother, who passed away under strange circumstances. Years later, they both return to town to sell the family home. As they set foot in the place, the memories awaken, so they begin to investigate on their own what really happened that night at Delos Crossing.

Narrative adventure with a trans character

This production has an LGTBI protagonist, a transgender person who has been played by a member of this community. In the vein of other Dontnod Entertainment titles, the game offers a narrative approach that uses classic mechanics of narrative adventures. Therefore, the decisions directly affect what happens in the plot of the video game.

The French studio, known for its work on Life is Strange, has grown with a new studio in Canada. It is not clear if this saga will be resumed, at least not with Dontnod Entertainment at the helm. Still, nothing has been announced in either direction yet. Not surprisingly, the developer continues to maintain its independence, which is why it has worked with publishers such as Bandai Namco, Microsoft or Square Enix.

Tell Me Why was published by Xbox Game Studios on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
