Tom Holland, who plays Nathan Drake, says that the shooting of the film will start in a month in the German city of Berlin, and still without a director.
A week ago we saw how Tom Holland shed some light on the Uncharted-based film, which is going through serious problems to confirm a director, since there are not a few who have abandoned the project. The last one that is rumored could take the reins is Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland), but in the absence of official confirmation, the reality is that filming will begin in nothing more than four weeks, according to Holland himself.
In a month, on stage
This was said in the premiere of the new Pixar movie, United, where he announced that in a short time he would have to make an appearance in Berlin to start putting himself in the shoes of Nathan Drake. "Yes, we started in four weeks," Holland said. "Mark Wahlberg is going to be fantastic like Sully. The department that is already in Berlin has done a great job preparing the doubles, and it will be exciting."
Holland also talked about his favorite video games, among which he cited, how could it be otherwise, Uncharted 4: The outcome of the thief, in which he recognized these days that the film is inspired. "When I sat down with the president of Sony Pictures, Tom Rothman, and we talked about video games, I told him that I had just passed Uncharted 4, and he told me 'well, why don't you play Nathan Drake'?" Holland says.
As we said, the strangest thing about all this is that this shooting will begin, unless one is announced in this period of time so that you can reach the German capital, without a director. He recently abandoned the Travis Knight (Bumblebee) project, apparently due to disagreements with Holland, and now Sony expects the aforementioned Fleischer to accept the role of getting behind the scenes.
