CD Projekt Red reveals the sales percentages by platform and version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from its launch until last 2019.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remains a lung for CD Projekt Red coffers. As part of the latest earnings report, the company shows historical data of Geralt of Rivia's passage through the market, including last year's and by platforms. .
According to the company, in 2019 the digital sales of the third installment accounted for 82% of its copies sold, while the remaining 18% were physical. This upward trend in the virtual market occurred every year after the launch. Only in 2015 the physical copies exceeded the global by 71%.
Regarding total sales (regardless of the route), the most chosen platform during 2019 was the PC, with 53%. They are followed by PS4 with 26%, Xbox One with 10% and Nintendo Switch with 11%.
