The actor who plays the sorcerer gives details about his interpretation in the Neflix series, which will premiere on December 20.
The actor who plays Geralt de Rivia in Netflix's new fiction, The Witcher, apologized to Lauren S. Hissrich, showrunner of the series, after he changed his character's voice in a particular scene. Geralt de Rivia had kept the same tone throughout the recording, but in a specific sequence, the voice acquired different shades. "With the voice I used initially, Lauren wanted me to maintain my natural accent, but I didn't feel I had enough packaging when I was doing it," he said during a press conference picked up by Digital Spy.
According to the actor, he had to find a tone that was faithful and represented Geralt immediately, so that everyone could understand what the character was like in his essence. “I found the voice that made it possible. It happened naturally, ”explains the actor. In the end, he realized that he had recorded a scene with a different voice than the one he had previously used. He checked and discovered that, in effect, he had done so.
Henry Cavill's apologies
Then, he went to Hissrich and said: “Look, this is what I have done. First, sorry, and secondly, I love it, what do you think? The two listened to the sequence and both gave their approval. “I am very happy to have done it because for me it is a powerful representation of what Geralt is. A way to do much more with much less. ”
The Witcher of Netflix will be released on December 20 exclusively for this video on demand platform. The eight episodes that make up the first season will be available from the first moment, as is usually the case with all Netflix series. The company has already commissioned a new season, even before its debut.
