Konami's classic is even more disturbing in the first person, as seen in this effective demonstration
The same creator who devised the Death Stranding demake for the original PlayStation – in a somewhat optimistic way in technology, it must be said – returns to surprise with an idea embodied in a trailer that will awaken great memories among Silent Hill 2 fans. The idea is to try to show how the Konami classic would look in virtual reality, providing different cuts of how it would work in different fragments of the game, including a menu and the manipulation of objects to solve puzzles, or various encounters with the nightmare creatures from Masahiro Ito's mind.
Of course, this is nothing more than a curious exercise from the creativity of the author, there is no real gameplay or project to carry out this idea, but as an inspiration to do so, it must be said that it is quite convincing. The claustophobic and corrupted atmosphere of the game benefits from the first person, while the design of the monsters that inhabit the town becomes even more powerful and chilling when we see them approaching us with our own eyes.
Celebrating 20 years of PS2
Yesterday, March 4, 2020, we remembered the 20th anniversary of PlayStation 2, the console that hosted among other classics, the original Silent Hill 2, which became an instant classic of horror in video games. Much of that condition is owed to Akira Yamoka, the musical composer of the game gave his melancholic soul.
