After countless shifts, rearrangements and other reasons, the film adaptation of 'Uncharted' now in the end of 2020 in theaters.
This reports at least the industry magazine Hollywood reporter, which rely on information from Sony in person. Whether you can comply with this long-planned appointment, will then show. Finally, in view of the production so far, one hardly leaves an opportunity for the cause to be delayed again and again.
In the lead role of the film is still the Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, this time as the young adventurer Nathan Drake, while the lead of the film was taken over by 10 Cloverfield Lane Director Dan Trachtenberg in January 2019. Meanwhile, Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker take over the screenplay.
Nothing is yet known about the story of the film, but it should probably not, if at all, be based on the first Uncharted game, but not be a one-to-one retelling. So you can be curious.
The theatrical release is scheduled for December 18, 2020 in the US, while a German date is still pending.
Update: According to the cinema operator UCI, the film will even start one day earlier on December 17, 2020, as the current preview shows. Sony has yet to confirm the launch date.
