Brian Fargo, CEO of InXile Entertainment, shares an official statement in which he explains the reasons for the delay of his new video game.
Wasteland 3, the new and highly anticipated installment of InXile Entertainment's RPG, delays its release date, going from May 18 to August 28 of this year. This has been shared by Brian Fargo, head of the developer company, arguing that the coronavirus crisis that is affecting everyone has made the team need more time due to the current situation of confinement.
New release date: August 28
And it is that Wasteland 3 was to arrive on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 18, a date with which it has been impossible to comply due to the new situation that is taking place right now in many countries, forcing many of its workers to be confined to their homes, developing their professional activity from home as much as possible.

“Like many companies, we have had to move to work from our homes for a few weeks now, and that has introduced new challenges that many of us along with the rest of the world are learning to manage. We are very excited about receiving the Wasteland beta, but the reality is that with these new logistical challenges, our launch has been conditioned, ”says Fargo.
The manager ensures that he has the support of both Microsoft and Deep Silver, with the aim that the game reaches the market in the best possible conditions and with the quality that everyone wants. According to Fargo himself, they will take into account all the feedback collected in the beta to try to implement all possible improvements, thus taking advantage of the extra development time until August.
"We appreciate the excitement from around the world and continued support as we add a few more months to make sure Wasteland 3 is the experience you've been waiting for on launch day," concludes Fargo.
