The North American company responds to Sony after its statements about the generation model with PS5. They will also bet on it.
Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, revealed last Friday that they will show the first PS5 games on June 4 and that they will continue betting on a generation model: there will be exclusive titles from the first day that will not be playable on PS4. Now, Microsoft has responded to this policy in the voice of Xbox Marketing Manager Aaron Greenberg, who believes that they also believe in generations.
"Xbox believes in generations," says Greenberg on his personal Twitter account; a tweet that you have posted on your profile, which is why you think it is of interest to your audience. "Generations of games running on the latest hardware and leveraging next-generation innovations to offer more choice, value, and variety than any other console at launch," he adds.
Xbox believes in generations. Generations of games that play on latest HW taking advantage of next-gen innovation offering more choice, value & variety than any console launch ever. All our Studios titles launch into Game Pass & you get those next-gen game upgrades for free.

"All our games from Studios (Xbox Game Studios) will launch from the first day on Xbox Games Pass and you will have all their respective new generation updates for free," referring to the already confirmed Smart Delivery, with cases such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla or Cyberpunk 2077 – You buy a game once for your entire family of Xbox consoles, and the title adapts to the machine you use.
Two different policies: a slower and sweeter one, since Microsoft will offer all the exclusive games of 2020 and 2021 with an intergenerational nature – they will also be playable on Xbox One, such as Halo: Infinite. Another, the Sony with PS5, more traditional and betting on exclusive content from the first day. Thus, at the launch of PlayStation 5 we will see video games that cannot be purchased in a version for PS4, as has always happened in companies such as Sony or Nintendo.
The Xbox Series X backward compatibility will feature over 1,000 improved launch games.
Xbox Series X first party games to be revealed at an event in July
After the presentation of the first third party games of Xbox Series X, we will have to wait until this month of July for Microsoft to offer a new Inside Xbox in which they put on the table all those exclusive games from Xbox Game Studios that will reach their powerful new machine starting this Christmas. For its part, Sony summons us to this Thursday, June 4, for this. We have not seen, however, the physical aspect of the console.
