Itch.io launches a huge bundle with hundreds of independent games and the goal of raising $ 2 million to fight racism.
The independent gaming platform Itch.io has wanted to join the massive support for the global Black Lives Matter movement, which is taking place mainly in the United States and has made millions of people speak out against racism. Video game companies have not been outsiders and have come to paralyze their online activity or postpone events, but Itch.io has gone further and has proposed to raise $ 2 million with an immense bundle containing no less than 740 indie games per less than 5 euros.
Hundreds of games against racism
Among these 740 games we can find many completely unknown, but also some of the most popular independent games in recent years. Thus, we can obtain, for example, Oxenfree, a great classic adventure that stands out for its interesting conversation system that makes each choice matter in the story, as well as a curious radio mechanic with which the protagonist communicates with ghosts.
Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality: 740 games for less than € 5
Also present is Night in the Woods, an adventure starring animals but which is far from childish. In fact, its protagonist Mae Borowski returns to Possum Springs, her hometown, to discover that the economy of the place has collapsed and that those who were her friends have changed with adult life. We will also find Minit, the peculiar video game whose games last 60 seconds, or the Catlateral Damage cat adventure, among many others.
Thus, the objective of this Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, those two million dollars, is very close to being achieved, since at the time of writing these lines far exceeds one and a half million dollars thanks to more than 130,000 taxpayers . You can get this great pack of indie games until next Monday the 15th.
