EA reaffirms: Apex Legends will be released on mobile devices

During the presentation of the financial results it has been uncovered that a Chinese partner will assist in the development of the mobile version.

Nothing has been known since Electronic Arts confirmed in May 2019 that Apex Legends, the battle royale of Respawn Entertainment, would see the light on mobile devices. It was also confirmed that the company planned to launch the game in China. During the meeting of shareholders in which the financial results of the third quarter of fiscal year 2019-2020 have been presented, the North American company has affirmed that these plans continue.

“To launch mobile games in China you need to have a partner. We already have it, ”explains Blake Jorgensen, responsible for the finances of Electronic Arts. He has done so during a question and answer shift in which he stressed that they are “working with a Chinese partner” and that they are “really excited about the opportunity” that is presented to them. In addition, the manager has added that this partner is helping them develop the mobile version of Apex Legends “for everyone”.

Jorgensen has not advanced any details or the date they plan to launch their free-to-play star. Even so, its closest competitors have already reached the mobile market. Do not forget that Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds enjoy their respective versions, available on both Android and iOS.

Season 4 begins

Apex Legends is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC since its launch, at the beginning of the year 2019. The title of Respawn Entertainment, which was one of the great surprises of the year, will soon begin its fourth season. Through a marketing maneuver, Electronic Arts and the responsible study of Titanfall 2 and Jedi Star Wars: Fallen Order have presented Revenant, a new legend that has been shown in a trailer full of violence.

The first of the advances of Season 4 had Forge as the protagonist, so it was assumed that it would be the new legend. However, in another video, the character was killed at the hands of Revenant, a robotic-looking man who "consumed by hate and obsessed with revenge," takes justice by his hand and uses his supernatural abilities to end with your enemies and escape death.

Right from the start of the season, which will kick off starting February 4, you can get a series of free rewards. To do so, simply access the game between that date and next February 11.
