CD Projekt shows interest in VR, but currently thinks the technology is not advanced enough to be able to do something with it.
A phrase that you often hear from developers, including John Mamais, Head of Studio of CD Projekt RED. Accordingly, VR had already been tried and some things would work too. Ultimately, VR is still a niche product and not profitable enough for the developer.
"We tried it," said Mamais. “We thought about VR, but yes, we don't do VR. Some things would work in VR, but I don't think it's really feasible yet. You don't make a lot of money with VR yet. It is very experimental and a niche product. I would like to. I like VR, but we don't do anything with it yet. ”
It remains to be seen whether this will be reconsidered with future VR headsets. If the references to PlayStation VR 2 actually apply, this could be the breakthrough for the technology and then finally bring enough developers on board.
