Rumor has it that Batman Arkham Legacy will be a soft reboot

It is currently unclear what Warner Bros. is currently working on with Batman. Recent rumors about the Rocksteady or Warner Bros. Montreal projects have so far not been confirmed, but new rumors are emerging, but they sound pretty strange.

According to this, there were several approaches for a new Batman game that was to be developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, including a game with Damien Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne, which was however discarded again. Most recently, it was suspected that it was now a game around the Court of Owls.

Planning a soft reboot?

A kind of soft reboot of the Batman Arkham series is now under development at Warner Bros. Montreal, which will be released as the DC Game Universe. This drastic name change is said to have to do with the fact that later DC games can be integrated, including a Superman game that is currently supposedly under development. Rocksteady himself had said that you wouldn't work on anything related to Superman, so only another developer could be considered.

It remains to be seen how it all fits together. However, if things are as chaotic internally as it looks to the outside world, Warner Bros.'s plans could end up being difficult or even suffering from an identity crisis.

A release of the new game should also be expected this year, with a next-gen title from Rocksteady on it. So far nothing has been confirmed.
