Final Fantasy XV bursts into Xbox Game Pass, among others

The Microsoft games division details all the titles that will be added to the service over the next few weeks.

The cards were put on the table at X019, the Microsoft event dedicated to video games. The plans for Xbox Game Pass were detailed with an endless list of products that will be published in 2020. Many of those productions do not yet have a fixed date, but those of Redmond have just announced the games that will be added in the month of February. It was already known that the Final Fantasy saga was going to be one of the star additions, with Final Fantasy XV at the helm. This month we will also enjoy Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Death Squared.

The fifteenth installment of the Final Fantasy saga will be available from February 6. From that date, players will be able to embody Noctis, the young prince of the Kingdom of Lucis. The Niflheim Empire has invaded Lucis taking advantage of the signing of a treaty. While the court is preparing to close the agreement, treason is warped with the black hand of the evil emperor, who does not hesitate to ravage the once peaceful kingdom. Rumors of the death of King Regis follow one another, but fortunately, the heir to the throne is far from the enemy army's reach. Together with his faithful vassals and friends, he will travel the world in the Regalia car and participate in numerous battles that will decide the fate of the world. Everything is in your hands.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is the most recent game in the saga. MachineGames opted for a title set in the eighties and starring Blazkowicz's twin daughters. Decades have passed since the end of World War II, although the Reich still continues to water his reign of terror. The two sisters, weapons in hand, will break into the heart of the empire and shoot the Nazis with a clear objective: to recover their missing father. The game can be downloaded from August 6. Later, on February 13, the indie Death Squared will premiere on the platform.

DLC, expansions and games that say goodbye

Xbox Game Pass also offers downloadable content. The highlight of this month is the Metro Exodus expansion, Sam's story, as well as the new Dead Cell DLC.

  • Ark: Valentine’s Day Event, February 11 – 19 (Console and PC)
  • Dead Cells DLC – The Bad Seed, February 11 (Console and PC)
  • Metro Exodus DLC – Sam's Story, February 11 (Console and PC)

Not everything will be welcome. In the same way that some come, others leave. These are the games that will say goodbye briefly:

  • Disney Epic Mickey 2
  • Jackbox Party Pack 2
  • Pumped BMX Pro
  • Rage
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that allows you to access a catalog of more than 100 video games. For a few months, the service is also available on PC.
