Koei Tecmo can confirm the final release date of the JRPG ‘Fairy Tale’ developed by Gust for next June. This delays the publication by a few months, which ultimately benefit the quality.

Producer Keisuke Kikuchi commented:

“I sincerely apologize for the delay in FAIRY TAIL and the inconvenience our fans, partners and stakeholders are experiencing who are looking forward to this title. Please allow us to take more time to improve the game and ensure that it is as high quality as possible so that we can offer you a truly comprehensive experience. We will work hard to improve the magic effects, event scene effects, game balance and much more! We'll talk more about the improvements in the coming months. This delay will allow us to ensure that we can offer you a much more satisfying gaming experience. Thank you for your comprehension!"

For a short time after the release, players can unlock a special bonus costume for Erza – the design of which will be revealed shortly before launch.

Fairy Tale will now be released on June 25, 2020.
