Koei Tecmo confirms the delay in the United States and Europe and explains that the study needs more time to finish the product.
Fairy Tail will also not arrive on schedule. Koei Tecmo, editor of the video game, has announced in an official statement that the video game based on the Hiro Mashima manganime needs more cooking time. This turn-based RPG developed by GUST Studios was scheduled for March 19, but will not be published until June 25, a delay that will improve the gaming experience, as announced by the Japanese company.
Producer Keisuke Kikuchi has shared a message with fans and has apologized for not being able to meet the stipulated date. "I am very sorry for the delay of Fairy Tail and for the inconvenience caused to our fans, partners and shareholders, who are waiting for this product," he begins. "Please give us a little more time to polish the game and make sure we offer the highest possible quality, so that we can provide a true immersive experience."
According to Kikuchi, they will work hard to improve magical effects and scenes, while making sure to provide a better balance. “We will talk about the improvements in more detail in the coming months. This delay will allow us to give you a much more satisfying game. Thank you for the understanding, ”concludes the Japanese.
The release date for Fairy Tail has been changed to the 25th June 2020.

Beginning of the year with many delays
Fairy Tail is not the only video game that has been delayed in these first weeks of the year. Final Fantasy VII Remake was going to be available from March 3, but the team decided to move the release date until April 10. The wait will be longer in the case of Marvel's Avengers, whose launch was set for May. Even so, it will be released on September 4. Cyberpunk 2077 will do the same on the 17th of that same month, when the science fiction city was going to light its neons on April 16. Ellie will not unleash her fury in February, so she will wait until the weather is warmer on May 29 to bring us The Last of Us Part 2.
The GUST Studios game, meanwhile, has confirmed a digital Deluxe Edition, which includes two extra costumes and the Lacrima set. Fairy Tail will be released on PS4, PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
